Sketchbooks

Sketchbooks are a great way for me to quickly explore composition and spacial/object relationships, and allow for new ideas to begin to take form. I tend to stick with a few different approaches, mostly collage and blind contour line drawings, and try to stay as abstract as possible with the outcome – sometimes creating hundreds of drawings or compositions. I find this exercise to be an excellent way to provide balance to, and also support, the design work I do.

The below are a few examples of collages and drawings from various sketchbooks.
